Greenman

A painting I did for my mom last Christmas. I painted it in the two days BEFORE Christmas, because I'm a loser.

She really likes greenmen, so I thought it would be a nice addition to her collection. (Collection = ALL OVER THE HOUSE.)

I based the leaf layering on a painting of Amy Brown's, (I love that woman) because I had no idea how to go about it. I just love it when they stick their tongues out!

He's winking because there's this one guy at the Renaissance Festival that makes sculptures of greenman and other fantasy, earthy things, and he says that a true greenman always has one eye closed. So there.

This was SO fun to paint, you have no idea.
